GTN Technical Staffing is proud to announce that Jodi Watkins, President of GTN Solutions, has been invited by the Women’s Business Council – Southwest (WBCS) to serve as a judge for its WBENCPitch Regional Qualifier.
The event brings together women business owners from across the region to present their companies, sharpen their sales pitches, and compete for the opportunity to advance in the national competition. As a judge, Jodi will help evaluate the participating businesses and provide an experienced perspective on how effectively each entrepreneur communicates her solution, value proposition, and market opportunity.
The regional event is part of WBENCPitch, a signature program of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. According to WBENC, the program combines pitch competitions with educational opportunities designed to help Women’s Business Enterprises refine their presentations, increase their visibility, and compete for grants and other prizes that can be reinvested in their companies.
The competition begins with first-round events hosted by WBENC’s Regional Partner Organizations, including WBCS. Eligible participants must generally be WBENC-certified business owners in good standing. The person delivering the pitch must be a primary owner of the company, and competitors must present an existing solution that is market-ready or already available—not simply an idea for a future venture.
The program includes separate divisions for product and service companies, giving businesses with different models an opportunity to showcase what makes them distinctive. In the 2026 national competition, the first-place business in each division is eligible to receive a $20,000 award. The runner-up in each division receives complimentary admission to the 2027 WBENC National Conference.
Beyond the prizes, WBENCPitch offers participants something equally valuable: the chance to improve how they tell their business story. A clear, persuasive pitch can help an entrepreneur open conversations with prospective customers, corporate partners, investors, and other decision-makers. WBENC also offers a Pitch Academy where business owners can access coaching, practical resources, expert insights, and feedback from fellow entrepreneurs.
Jodi’s invitation to judge the regional qualifier reflects her business leadership and commitment to supporting women-owned enterprises. Through her work with GTN Solutions, she understands the importance of identifying customer needs, clearly communicating value, and building relationships rooted in trust. Those qualities are essential not only in a pitch competition but also in developing a sustainable and successful company.
